Pulsing with whompin’ basslines through the night to the wee hours of the morn, Nozstock’s largest dance arena is a converted cowshed run by our own musical prodigies, Octo-pi & Koncept with a dusting of anarchic influence from Hereford’s top-spot the Jailhouse. This dance arena houses both deep and dirty dubstep and bangin’ drum ‘n’ bass. Cubicles revellers will be treated to the heart shaking bass and breaks of local resident talents alongside some of the most skillful world-renowned turntablists from the DJ establishment.

IN 2011 THE FOLLOWING ACTS WOWED AT NOZSTOCK:
FRIDAY
Netsky
Winner of the ‘Best Newcomer Producer’ at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards 2010, Netsky is leading a wave of new skool D&B talent from Europe with his blend of uplifting, melancholic melodies and heavy dancefloor bass and beats – his popularity as both a DJ and producer is second to none.
Reso
As Reso moves towards his debut album for Civil Music due early 2011 he’s dropped his “In Da Mix” CD on Z-Audio, joined the Hospital Records Family to showcase his genre redefining D&B skills with Slap Chop and squeezed in Remixes for Drop the Lime, Foamo, Qemists and dEbruit amongst others. Join him here for some high-tech dubstep using wobble, hypercrunk, breaks, wonky, hip-hop and D&B.
DC Breaks
With regular slots on BBC 1Extra, DC Breaks are one of the latest signings to Ram Records. With releases on sister label Frequency Recordings, which included the stunning Pickett Line, their exclusive signing to Ram comes as no surprise. Already gaining support from Andy C, Annie Mac, Bailey, Mistajam, and all the heavy weights in Drum & Bass, watch them reinforce their rightful place amongst the most highly regarded drum & bass producers in the scene.
Icicle
Shogun Audio Crew’s Icicle takes inspiration from dirty basslines from the likes of Jonny L and Optical and the intricate drum patterns of Photek & Source Direct. This dutchman likes to experiment with every sound but admits himself ”drum and bass will remain the back bone.”
Scope
A recurring hit at Nozstock, this up and coming dnb fiend will get your bass faces on.
Fammo DJ’s
Two of the finest Jailhouse residents. Hereford’s own known well for mashing-up bass & destroying dancefloors.
DeciBel
Swansea’s queen of of drum n bass let loose in the cubicles.
SATURDAY
Andy C & MC GQ
A pioneering force in drum and bass, the undisputed number one king of the dubplates, drum & bass multi award winning selector and Ram Records boss, Andy C can still be found smashing raves around the world with the same unrelenting enthusiasm and unquestionable skill as ever. Making a return to Nozstock, after his sterling set in 2009, we’re totally primed for this one.
A drum & bass MC since before the genre even existed, the energetic and dynamic GQ’s been spitting bars since the late 80s. Not to be missed.
Alix Perez
Originally from Belgium, Alix started to DJ aged 14, and began producing at 17. Alix has numerous tracks play-listed on BBC 1Xtra and receives heavy support from respected players within the scene: from Bukem to Bailey, he has been repped as “the one to watch” and “representing the future of Drum and Bass.”
Borgore
Famed for his ‘Borgore Ruined Dubstep’ EP (2010) Borgore’s tunes are known for bringing new things to the table causing conformists discomfort, and that’s even before they’ve heard his explicit lyrics. If you like your boundaries messed with, it’s time for a bit of investigation.
Octo Pi
Recently signed to Global Domination Digital and a hardcore member of Nozstock’s founding crew, Octo Pi lives his music and recently won the Ministry of Sound ‘DJ Fresh Gold Dust’ remix competition. This boy understands bass like no other.
The Grandad
AKA Delayed Reaction and owner of Global Domination Digital, expect Jump up DnB from this DJ and Producer.
Amoss
Drum and Bass duo Andy and James represent all that is best about the deeper side of drum and bass business. Keep an eye out for their forthcoming releases coming at you courtesy of Renegade Hardware.
