How to Apply

Read the terms and conditions thoroughly, you must be prepared to adhere to these. If not then volunteering may not be for you.

Complete the application form with full contact details, including telephone number and email address, plus copies of your proof of ID for UK citizenship, and return to Nozstock by 18th June 2012. We are most likely to contact you by email so please check your account regularly. Once your application has been processed, if you are offered a place, a payment for your festival ticket of £95 must be received by 2nd July.  We ask that your payment is made through the online payment service Paypal to an account titled Tracy Island, and not through the existing ‘Buy Online’ Nozstock ticket system or as a hard copy through one of our outlets. You will receive information and instructions regarding the payment system after 18th June if your application is successful.

Your ticket fee of £95 will be returned to you via a refund of your Paypal transaction to the paying account pending full completion of your shifts. If you do not complete both shifts your ticket fee will not be returned. This is just to ensure that all volunteers turn up for and complete their shifts. Similarly, the ticket fee is set at the maximum amount of £95 to ensure incentive to complete agreed shifts.

Should you wish your ticket fee to be returned to either a different name than your own or a different address we will need a confirmation in writing or by email and you will need to pay a £3.50 admin fee that we incur as a cost of using Paypal to transfer the funds.

Festival Volunteer Terms and Conditions

*these last updated 25.3.12

1      All volunteers for bar and stewarding must be 18 years old or over, or for sales must be 17 years or over, on the first day they arrive at the festival.

2      All volunteers must register at the festival gate between the hours of 2pm and 4pm on Thursday 26th July for Thursday night & Friday daytime shifts, and register by 11am on Friday 27th July for later shifts.

3      You will be required to present proof of your UK citizenship (ie. right to work) on arrival at your training session. This should be the proof, of which you have supplied copies to Nozstock, in your application. This can be provided in the form of:

-       EU passport, or

-       birth certificate, or

-       national insurance number card with a P60 or P45

-       [a driving license, even for the UK, is NOT adequate]

If you have another means of proof that you would like to check is suitable please email work@nozstock.com to verify.

4      All volunteers will work an average of 14 hours throughout the festival. Shifts are between 5pm on Thursday 26th July and 2am early on Monday 30th July, subject to change. Staff are required on a 24hr rota so night work may be required.

5      To volunteer you will need to buy a ticket at a cost of £95, which will be returned to you after the end of the festival. The ticket fee is non-refundable if you do not fully complete all of your shifts or if you cancel within three weeks prior of the festival start date.

6      Your priority as a volunteer is to help us run Nozstock The Hidden Valley. We appreciate that there may be specific attractions at the festival that you may want to see, and although we will try to be accommodating where possible, it may be that requests cannot be met.

7      If you are accepted, you will receive acceptance notification once we have processed your form. Full confirmation will be conditional on your ticket payment being processed.

8      If you are not successful, Nozstock will inform you shortly after 18th June. We will ensure that you are able to purchase a festival ticket, priced to match the date of the arrival of your application, e.g. applicants received by 31st May will be offered tickets at the current price of £80. For the ticket prices on various dates please visit our ticket page.

9      You will receive further information regarding the shifts you will work and your festival duties after 2nd July 2012. Though we will make every effort to notify you of shift changes in good time, occasionally alterations to the volunteer rotas can occur up to and on the day of your shift. You will be expected to attend a different shift if required to do so. Nozstock will make every effort to honour your shifts as originally notified.

10    Failure to attend an assigned shift or attendance in an intoxicated state will result in your ticket fee being non-returned.
