Still, you’ll be pleased to know that preparations for this summer’s magical helping of Nozstock: The Hidden Valley are well under way and we promise it’ll be another blinder! Get thinking up some wonderfully creative costumes as this year’s theme is Myths & Legends and we’re expecting big things from you lovely lot. Early bird tickets will be available soon so watch this space and for the keen beans amongst you sign up to our mailing list to be the first to hear about upcoming competitions, to get interactive with your favourite festival and of course, to find out our incredible line up. Promising an all-inclusive experience for grandad and the toddler, Nozstock didn’t miss a beat this year across all eight stages plus hidden treats came in the form of late night cinematic VJ shows, burlesque seductions, folk jams round the fire, sock wrestling and opera from a doused Ophelia on Sheersy’s Lake. Laughing Stock built on its sterling history with some insightful wits and rousing belly rumbles. It was an ultimate and we’re still recovering.

But don’t let us cajole you. If you need reminding of how much fun was had, or if you made the mistake of not coming and want a taster of what might be in store for you come 2012 then see what the journalists made of it.

In essence though, Nozstock is only as good as the people that make it and that includes all our crew, volunteers, artists and punters. You were all great fun, good sports and game. And you made this the best Nozstock yet. To revel in the past, check out the Gallery for the latest pics.

Brighton based DJ Lapis will be opening the show with his eclectic blend of beats, from Balkan to swing to Disney and many more!…And if that doesn’t get your hips shaking Pearl Boheme surely will…the queen of Tribal Fusion Belly Dance will be here to delight, hypnotize and entertain you. Just to mix it up a wee bit more, Conlon and Hunt will be flabbergasting us with their circus trickery- be prepared to laugh in the face of danger, death or possibly just humiliation!

If this isn’t quirky enough for you already…you better stick around to check out the experimental cabaret collective that is The Late Night Shop. The five different acts invert, subvert and rewrite traditional cabaret, with an addition humorous slant. And after the glitz and the glam, it’s time for even more humor with Comedian Owen Niblock….described by Russell Howard as ‘a very funny man’……that’s sounds…well…funny to us!

Next up is the legendary Keda Breeze, renowned in the Burlesque world for her creation of visually stunning performance art- you’d be nuts to miss the forerunner in the British Cabaret scene. Now….CALLING ALL SINGLE PEOPLE! The Ouse Valley Singles Club is a singles club with a difference, armed with the power of a Ukulele, host Andy entertains the audience with his wit and experiences.  And if that’s not all too fantabulous to handle, Remnants will be wowing us with their amalgamation of acrobatics, dance and theatre!

Finally, ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce our ring-mistress….Ophelia Bitz! With a reputation for stealing hearts, drinks and anything else not nailed to the table- hang onto your hats! Be prepared for a sideshow stunts and a hell of a good show! See you there lovely people!

Workshops will be running daily, have a go at street/break dance with the incredible (and very talented) 2Faced Dance , or make your own captivating puppets and show with Wattle & Daub . See Wattle and Daub in action with the innovative storytelling and striking imagery of Norkus and The Oldest Man in The World while magical puppetry company The Fetch will be wowing audiences young and old with their beautiful Bunraku puppets. Join  Park bench Poets on a multi sensory journey as they make the ordinary extraordinary in All a Board and let the Ouse Valley Singles Club help you find success in the singles scene. Don’t miss hilarious performances from award winning comic Monkey poet on Saturday and Mouthmaster Murph who will be returning to the Bantam on Friday with a follow up to last year’s hugely popular Predator Rap.

With a packed programme from Friday-Sunday there is something to tickle everyone’s theatre tastebuds. Can’t wait to see you there!
